Job summary

CAPS Collaborative in Massachusetts seeks a dynamic special education teacher with severe/profound certification to join our educational team. The role features a small staff-to-student ratio and an embedded therapy model collaborating with related service providers to meet each student's needs.

You will develop individualized learning plans, create and implement IEPs, and advocate for students in a public school setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of IDEA, IEPs, and 504.
• Bachelor's in Special Education; Master's preferred.
• Appropriate state license or certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized education programs (IEPs) for students and set learning goals.
• Coordinate, develop, and execute developmentally appropriate learning programs.
• Deliver instruction in small groups and one-on-one settings.
• Collaborate with related service providers in an embedded therapy model.
• Maintain paperwork and reporting required by IDEA, IEPs, and 504.
• Attend IEP meetings and advocate for students.
