Cherry Creek Schools seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe special education needs under licensed staff supervision. You will adapt curriculum for individuals and small groups, monitor progress, and assist with materials, tests, and IEPs.

In remote settings, assist with technology access and executive functioning strategies. The role includes providing technical physical care, ensuring a safe environment, and participating in DHH/ILC/SED programming as assigned.

Formación

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma required.
• No professional work experience required.
• Mandatory Crisis Prevention Intervention training.
• Medication administration training provided by the District as needed.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate interpersonal relations skills.
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups.
• Ability to appropriately modify curriculum.
• Ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
• Ability to work with students with severe needs, including autism and related challenges.

Responsabilidades

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum to individual needs.
• Implement IEP accommodations and maintain progress records with licensed staff.
• Assist with materials, tests, attendance, and classroom events as needed.
• Provide remote support in online/remote learning settings when required.
• Provide technical physical care and support for safety and hygiene as assigned.
