Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe special education needs under licensed staff direction. You will assist with curriculum adaptation, skill development, behavior strategies, and assignment completion across classroom and remote settings.

Responsibilities include materials prep, progress monitoring, and maintaining achievement records to support FAPE requirements.

Qualifications

Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
No professional work experience required.
Title I assignments require two years of college or an associate degree or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

Assist students with classroom activities, adapting curriculum for individual needs; work with individuals and small groups daily.
Implement IEP accommodations and maintain progress and behavior records with licensed staff.
Assist licensed staff with materials, tests, attendance, and related paperwork; support fire drills and events.
Perform other duties as assigned daily.
Monitor student behavior and reinforce positive actions in online or remote settings; assist with technology access and coursework completion.
Prepare assignments for home completion and support student progress remotely.
Maintain progress and behavior records and report observations to the IEP team.
