Job summary

AbbVie in Texas is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to serve as a primary resource on preventive and demand maintenance activities within their skill set, while supporting Senior Technicians with more advanced tasks.

This role offers hands-on experience across multiple maintenance functions, with a shift pattern of 7am–7:30pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday. Candidates should be pursuing technical education related to Industrial Maintenance.

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 0+ yrs. experience or Relevant Certificate. Completion or current enrollment in a formal technical school program related to Industrial Maintenance desired.
• Knowledge and ability to use basic power tools and ability to apply proper hand and measuring tools in an industrial setting.
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)

Responsibilities

• Adhere to AbbVie’s Code of Business Conduct.
• Understands and follows all GMP and Safety regulations.
• Work with Sr Level Technicians across several areas of Maintenance to build a diverse, multi-craft foundation for their career in the Skilled Trades with the intent of building skills and developing into a higher-level Technician.
• Perform Preventive and Demand Maintenance activities, support Predictive Maintenance activities.
• Vocational training to increase skill set and knowledge across multiple maintenance functions.
