Job summary

Corient in Boston is seeking an experienced settlement and reconciliation professional to monitor equity and fixed income orders, review trade confirmations, and resolve issues to prevent failed trades. The role requires strong collaboration with brokers, custodians, and client service teams to maintain accurate records and timely processing.

Responsibilities include QC of tax-lot relief and cost basis, managing cash positions, and ensuring regulatory and record-keeping compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with transaction processing and trade settlement is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• High degree of confidentiality and discretion in handling client information.

Responsibilities

• Monitor executed equity and fixed income orders via order management systems and FIX lines to ensure straight-through processing.
• Review trade confirmations and reports to resolve issues and avoid failed trades.
• Collaborate with third-party settlement software for affirmation and settlement of trades.
• Perform QC checks of tax-lot relief and cost basis settings in custody systems.
• Report cash deficiencies and failed trades promptly to traders and client service teams.
• Maintain transaction files and confirmations in compliance with record-keeping obligations.
• Assist traders with order placement and processing in securities.
• Stay aware of corporate actions requiring position adjustments or related trades.
• Develop and maintain relationships with executing brokers and custodians to facilitate efficient processing.
