Job summary

KKR is seeking a qualified individual for its Credit Middle Office in Boston to support securities and credit derivatives settlements across multiple platforms. The role involves settling trades with brokers and custodians, monitoring and resolving issues, and coordinating with various teams to ensure smooth operations.

Candidates should have 2–4 years in securities settlements, knowledge of DTCC products, and Bloomberg experience. A discretionary bonus may be available based on performance.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in securities settlements, ideally in an alternative asset management firm.
• Knowledge of securities including corporate bonds, convertible bonds, asset-backed securities, and equities.
• Experience with multiple settlement methods including DTC, Euroclear and Clearstream.
• Experience with DTCC products (CTM and Alert).
• Bloomberg experience.
• Understanding of a trade lifecycle and the roles of custodian/clearing broker vs executing broker.
• Awareness of risks and controls related to T+1 settlements.
• Knowledge of credit derivatives—cleared and OTC, ISDA, short sales and portfolio margining.
• Understanding of bond repos.
• Experience with Allvue Everest, Eze OMS, and Advent Geneva.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with brokers, custodians, and settlement providers for timely instruction and matching of trades.
• Settle trades and resolve confirmation, matching, and settlement issues.
• Monitor daily failing trades and escalate if necessary.
• Coordinate with front office and support teams to address trade inquiries and issues.
• Confirm and affiliate cash and derivatives trades.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Recon on settlement issues.
• Onboard new accounts in internal systems and DTCC Alert.
• Identify control gaps and propose settlements/process improvements.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and raise service levels.
• Manage and direct third-party settlements vendors.
