Job summary

The Ward Law Group is seeking a Settlement Department Manager to lead the team responsible for valuing, negotiating, and resolving our pre-suit personal injury inventory. This is a true management role, with success measured by the performance of the negotiators who report to you and by department results.

You will implement structured workflows, mentor negotiators, and drive data‑driven decisions while ensuring client communications are clear and compliant.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 people managed in past roles (direct or indirect).
• Three to five years in personal injury with pre-suit settlement experience.
• Three+ years managing a settlement or case management team.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a large settlement negotiators and support team.
• Develop development plans to improve valuation accuracy and file velocity.
• Set performance standards by jurisdiction and case type.
• Audit workflows and improve SOPs for repeatability.
• Protect the client relationship with clear, language-appropriate communications.
