Job summary

The Ward Law Group seeks a Demands & Settlements Department Manager to lead a pre-suit inventory team. You will coach negotiators, oversee valuation and negotiation, and ensure quality processes across the department within a structured, data-driven environment.

You will be measured by your team’s performance, not by personal file volume, and will collaborate with leadership to improve outcomes for clients while maintaining high ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of progressive experience in personal injury, with substantial time in pre-suit settlement and negotiation.
• Three or more years directly managing a settlements, pre-litigation, or case management team.
• Bilingual: English and Spanish, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the team of settlement negotiators and support staff with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Manage through metrics: set standards, review data weekly, diagnose causes of changes, report to firm leadership.
