Job summary

RTX seeks a Section Leader at our MA site (Tewksbury or Marlborough) to lead a team of engineers onsite. You will establish goals, manage performance, and drive staffing and policy adherence while guiding program initiatives in a collaborative environment.

The role blends technical leadership with personnel management, mentoring, and active participation in department objectives, while aligning with RTX values and expected accountability.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with the Performance Development process
  • Experience working in a matrix environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers.
  • Establish meaningful and measurable goals and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Oversee the direct line management activities for the section including communication, performance management, career development, and talent acquisition.
  • Support department and directorate level initiatives.

Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Discipline organization is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, system sustainment, System Security Engineering (SSE), integration and system level testing, identifying and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues, and developing automated or operator-driven tests in support of system-level integration, verification, validation and sustainment.As a Section Leader, you will be expected to actively participate in department goals and initiatives, support department hiring, support program staffing, provide employee feedback and mentoring, and be actively involved in daily program operations.   • Experience with the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process

  • Experience in implementing business and program improvements through process improvement methodologies

  • Applicable Master's Degree

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
