Job summary

Raytheon in Massachusetts is seeking a Section Leader within the SE&TC discipline to lead a team of engineers and drive functional and program staffing, performance management, and mentoring. This onsite role requires U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.

The position is based in Tewksbury, MA or Marlborough, MA with a focus on MBSE, system performance, and integration, offering opportunities to grow capabilities and foster an inclusive environment.

  • Work as a technical lead or individual contributor; Section Leader duties account for approximately 10% of the employee’s time.

The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Discipline organization is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, system sustainment, System Security Engineering (SSE), integration and system level testing, identifying and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues, and developing automated or operator-driven tests in support of system-level integration, verification, validation and sustainment.

As a Section Leader, you will be expected to actively participate in department goals and initiatives, support department hiring, support program staffing, provide employee feedback and mentoring, and be actively involved in daily program operations. This position is based out of Tewksbury, MA or Marlborough, MA

Position Role Type: Onsite

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Security Clearance Type: Secret

Security Clearance Status: Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience of effectively managing a team over a wide geographical area
  • Experience with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar budget tracking system
  • Experience with Raytheon’s Proposal Capture Process (development of Basis of Estimates, etc)
  • Experience with the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process
  • Experience in implementing business and program improvements through process improvement methodologies
  • Applicable Master’s Degree

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
