Job summary

Milwaukee Tool seeks a Set Up Technician I to support production by setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting CNC equipment and processes. You will work across multiple machine types, cycle through programs, and collaborate with operators and maintenance to ensure first-article readiness and high-quality output.

The role requires at least 1 year of related experience, a High School diploma or GED, and a mechanical/electrical/automation certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification in mechanical/electrical/automation preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing or related setting.
• Experience operating CNC machines and setting up programs.
• Ability to read drawings/schematics and interpret technical data.
• Strong leadership, communication, mentoring and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality and 6S standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and troubleshoot CNC equipment to support production.
• Operate and maintain CNC machines across multiple types.
• Review and adjust PLC programs and offsets as needed.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for issues and PMs and communicate clearly.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain required documentation and inspections; ensure safety compliance.
