Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Set-up Technician to support production by setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting machines with guidance from management.

The role is on the 3rd shift, Sunday–Thursday 11:00pm–7:00am, based in Brookfield, Wisconsin, focusing on equipment maintenance, adjustments, and documentation of QA and maintenance activities.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and 6+ months of injection molding experience, plus basic math and proficient Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6+ months of injection molding experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic math and reading skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up, operate, and maintain equipment to support operations.
  • Make professional modifications and repairs to existing equipment with direction from management or qualified associates.
  • Responsible for cosmetic criteria as specified and communicating criteria to employees.
  • Relay pertinent product and quality information to Operators, Inspectors, Supervisors, and peers, in both written and verbal forms.
  • Documentation of production, maintenance, and QC audits performed.
  • Organizing and maintaining the order and cleanliness of equipment, storage areas and the department as a whole.
  • Other duties and projects, as required by production and business need

Job Description: The Set-up Technician supports the production needs of the operation by setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting machines with assistance and/or direction from management or qualified associates.

Shift Details

3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm-7:00am

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set-up, operate, and maintain equipment as needed to support operations
  • Make professional and lasting modifications and repairs to existing equipment with direction from management or qualified associates
  • Responsible for cosmetic criteria as specified and communicating criteria to employees
  • Relay pertinent product and quality related information to Operators, Inspectors, Supervisors, and peers, in both written and verbal forms
  • Documentation of production, maintenance, and QC audits performed
  • Organizing and maintaining the order and cleanliness of equipment, storage areas and the department as a whole
  • Other duties and projects, as required by production and business need
Education, Skills, and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 6+ months of injection molding experience
  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Successful completion of Mechanical Aptitude test
  • Established ability to identify and communicate issues and offer proposed solutions
  • Great attention to detail is required
  • Ability to manage interruptions in a professional and respectful manner is essential
  • Above average basic math skills and reasoning ability
  • Moderate computer and Microsoft Office skills
  • Forklift certification
