Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a Set-Up Technician to install and remove molds and lines/fixtures for molding machines and to maintain molds and molding equipment. You will follow procedures for removing and installing molds, handle water/hydraulic lines, and ensure clean, safe operation of mold components.

Required experience includes injection molding and use of hand/power tools; forklift and crane experience are preferred, along with ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred.
• Crane experience preferred.
• Lockout/tag out experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of injection molding experience.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Previous experience changing molds in plastics machines.
• Ability to communicate verbally or in writing.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Follows set procedures for removing molds from machines, including removal of water and hydraulic lines, removal of nozzles and heater blocks, unclamping/unfastening molds, hooking and hoisting molds from the machine.
• Follows set procedures for installing molds into machines, including connection of water and hydraulic lines, installation of nozzles and heater blocks, clamping/fastening molds.
• Cleans and repairs molding nozzles.
• Wires heater bands together.
• Installs and/or removes inserts for molds as scheduled.
• Rigs molds for removal from, and installation into machines.
• Transports molds in facility via crane and forklift.
• Maintains cleanliness, safety, and functionality of mold components and tools.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Set-Up Technician installs and removes molds and lines/fixtures for molding machines. Maintains the condition of the molds and molding equipment.
