Job summary

Grand Casino Mille Lacs & Hinckley is seeking a dependable Banquet Utility to help set up and break down event spaces, support cleanliness, and ensure everything is ready on time. The role requires reading diagrams, following BEOs, and collaborating with Banquet, Culinary, and Event teams.

The position emphasizes reliability, physical work, and teamwork, with benefits, regular pay, and a structured, respectful work environment. Training and promotions are possible within the events team.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in hospitality, event setup, or utility support preferred.
• Ability to read diagrams and follow setup instructions accurately.
• Calm, reliable presence and a positive team attitude.
• Must be able to secure a license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).
• Respect for Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGRs) and tribal preferences may apply.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables, chairs, staging, podiums, and other equipment for meetings and events
• Tear down event setups and restore rooms to standard layouts
• Maintain storage rooms, event equipment, and work areas in clean, organized condition
• Assist with bussing, dishwashing, and event cleanup as needed
• Follow room diagrams and BEOs to ensure accurate setup
• Report maintenance issues or equipment concerns to leadership promptly
• Support team members and Servers to ensure efficient event flow
• Complete assigned side work and cleaning tasks on time
• Work with Banquet, Culinary, and Event team members respectfully
