Job summary

Grand Casino Hinckley is seeking a friendly Banquet Bartender to deliver consistent service across outlets, helping guests enjoy beverages with confidence and care. Bring at least 1 year of bartending or serving experience, knowledge of drink recipes, and a valid GRA license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year bartending or serving experience.
• Completion of Alcohol Awareness Training within 60 days of hire.
• Must secure a license from the Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).
• American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve beverages per established recipes.
• Keep station clean, stocked, and ready to go.
• Follow Grand Casino’s cash handling and over/short policies.
• Take and fill drink orders efficiently and courteously.
• Provide friendly, suggestive service using menu knowledge.
• Coordinate with Banquet Captains, Servers, and team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain health and safety standards and assist with outlet coverage as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages based on established recipes and procedures
• Keep your station clean, stocked, and ready to go - every shift, no surprises
• Follow Grand Casino’s cash handling and over/short policies with accuracy and care
• Take and fill drink orders efficiently and courteously
• Use your knowledge of menus and offerings to provide friendly, suggestive service
• Communicate with Banquet Captains, Servers, and team members to keep things running smoothly
• Handle guest questions and concerns with respect and quick solutions
• Support the team with side work, opening/closing duties, and other outlet coverage as needed (including room service and amphitheater venues)
• Stay in the know about safety, regulations, and responsibilities under the Dram Shop Act
• Maintain clean, sanitary workspaces that meet health regulations

What You Bring

• One year of bartending and/or serving experience
• Completion of Alcohol Awareness Training within 2 months of hire
• Strong knowledge of drink recipes, safe serving practices, and customer care
• Calm, reliable presence and a love for great service
• Must be able to secure a license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA)
• Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s)
• Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by Guest needs or event schedules. Will involve standing/walking for extended periods and light lifting during events.
