Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Shelbyville, Kentucky is seeking a Set Up Operator for the 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm). Pay is $22.52 per hour plus a $1.50 shift premium. You will operate, change over, and troubleshoot machines on-site to maintain flow and meet service levels.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, ability to read blueprints, basic math, and basic computer skills. Overtime flexibility is expected and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to read blueprints and standard work instructions.
• Able to read and write English; understand instructions for safety and quality.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to use and operate basic tools, equipment, and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Operate, change over, adjust, troubleshoot, and clean machines and equipment while maintaining proper flow of product to meet service level goals.
• Maintain a safe work environment, exemplifying 6S principals.
• Ensure all products meet specifications and maintain quality standards of product following quality assurance on FPI.
• Properly fill out all documentation and labels.
• Properly handle all scrap, rework, and mixed product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
