The Florida Division of Emergency Management is seeking a Budget Administrator – SES to lead complex financial management for the bureau. You will supervise the budget team and coordinate budget development, amendments, and reporting with state agencies to support disaster preparedness and response.

Responsibilities include analyzing budgets, drafting LBRs, and ensuring alignment with Executive actions. This role requires strong Excel skills and experience with Florida’s LAS/PBS systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration.
• Minimum years of experience in budget/financial analysis with supervisory background.
• Experience with state budgeting processes and Florida accounting systems.

Responsabilités

• Lead financial analyses of state and federal programs for FDEM budget.
• Review and amend approved budgets, considering resources and program impacts.
• Develop and coordinate Legislative Budget Requests (LBRs) and narrative justifications.
• Input budget requests into LAS/PBS and liaise with OPB and legislators.
• Prepare LRPP data, performance measures, and unit cost analyses.
• Coordinate reporting of agency costs to OPB during disaster activations.
• Supervise budget team and ensure timely, accurate budgeting actions.
