Job summary

Insight seeks a Flex Services Technician in Hanover Park, IL to diagnose and repair hardware and peripherals, install and test hardware, and complete technical documentation. You will support depot programs like Hot Swap and Repair while working a flexible schedule with minimal weekly commitment.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years IT support experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and an IT-related certificate or diploma. HP/Dell/Lenovo experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• IT-related certificate or diploma(s) required or preferred.
• 2-5 years of troubleshooting or IT support experience.
• A+ certification (preferred).
• Previous experience as certified HP, Dell, or Lenovo technician (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair hardware and peripheral issues to minimize client downtime.
• Install and test hardware, ensuring proper operation per instructions.
• Complete all required technical documentation for billing, product returns, and compliance.
• Support Insights depot programs such as Hot Swap and Repair.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnosing and repairing hardware and peripheral issues using the most efficient, cost-effective solutions to minimize client downtime.
• Installing and testing hardware, ensuring everything works flawlessly and following any specialized instructions.
• Completing all required technical documentation for billing, product returns, and compliance.
• Supporting Insights depot programs such as Hot Swap and Repair

What We’re Looking For

• IT-related certificate or diploma
• 2-5 years of troubleshooting or IT support experience
• Strong communication, organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills
• A+ certification (preferred)
• Previous experience working as certified HP, Dell or Lenovo technician (preferred)
