Job Description

We are looking for a ServiceNow Technical Architect to design the structure of our ITSM systems and oversee programs to ensure the proper architecture is implemented.

The Technical Architect - ServiceNow will contribute to a team of specialists working to assist our clients' customers in understanding their ServiceNow environments. They will join the IT & Software Asset Management (ITAM) Team, focusing on the implementation, configuration, and management of customers' ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will be an expert in ServiceNow, with proven methodology and best practices for platform implementation and associated modules.

The Technical Architect - ServiceNow will be responsible for defining processes supporting ServiceNow implementations and will have extensive practical experience with implementing and sustaining these processes. They will serve as a technical lead within project teams, primarily leading the deployment of the ServiceNow platform and modules such as ITAM, ITSM, ITOM, and ITBM, tailoring solutions to meet customer-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

  1. Implement ServiceNow Platform, specifically the ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, and ITAM modules.
  2. Support process definition, re-engineering, and gap analysis during workshops with key stakeholders.
  3. Guide customers to maximize their investment in ServiceNow, including process improvements.
  4. Lead technical and solution delivery aspects of projects.
  5. Provide technical leadership and best practices for ongoing ServiceNow support.
  6. Configure and develop modules to meet business outcomes and requirements.
  7. Collaborate with customers to ensure configurations meet their needs, including drafting user stories, acceptance criteria, and testing strategies.
  8. Oversee and train customers’ system administrators throughout engagements.
  9. Support and advise on ServiceNow implementations and BAU operations.
  10. Consult on process and service improvements for ServiceNow usage.
  11. Ensure data accuracy in hardware and software asset information within ServiceNow.
  12. Identify potential issues within customer environments and advise on resolutions.
  13. Stay current with industry trends and new ServiceNow offerings.
  14. Participate in kick-off and discovery calls to gather requirements and system topography.
  15. Support sales and pre-sales activities as needed.
  16. Provide ongoing technical support during platform and module deployment.
  17. Ensure work is completed within agreed timelines and KPIs.
  18. Assist teams in managing project timelines and customer expectations.
  19. Develop into a resource for team members and sales teams, providing training and mentorship.
  20. Represent SHI at conferences and industry events.
  21. Contribute to meeting or exceeding business objectives and key initiatives, especially related to ITAM.
  22. Maintain industry-leading knowledge and certifications related to ServiceNow and ITAM lifecycle management.
