In this execution-focused role, you will lead design and development across ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, or custom apps, mentor teams, and drive code reviews.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and implementation.
• Experience developing custom applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform.
• Proven ability to lead development efforts or serve as a technical point of contact.
• Experience with integrations (REST, SOAP, APIs, MID Server).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, or custom apps.

Centennial Technologies is seeking a ServiceNow Senior Developer / Technical Lead to support the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions for federal clients. This role serves as a hands-on technical leader, responsible for guiding development efforts, ensuring best practices, and delivering scalable, high-quality ServiceNow capabilities.

Unlike an Architect, this role is execution-focused, with responsibility for solution implementation, team guidance, and technical quality, rather than enterprise-wide architecture ownership.

Requirements

• Lead the design and development of ServiceNow solutions across modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, or custom applications
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions and platform configurations
• Serve as a technical lead for development teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and code reviews
• Develop and customize ServiceNow applications using: Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and Automation workflows
• Support integration efforts with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and third-party tools
• Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, coding standards, and platform governance
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the platform
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to align solutions with overall platform strategy
• Support testing activities, including unit testing, system testing, and deployment validation

Required Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and implementation
• Experience developing custom applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform
• Proven ability to lead development efforts or serve as a technical point of contact
• Experience with integrations (REST, SOAP, APIs, MID Server)
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with additional ServiceNow modules such as: ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SecOps, GRC
• Experience in federal or public sector environments
• Familiarity with platform upgrades, releases, and instance management
• Exposure to DevOps/DevSecOps practices within ServiceNow delivery
• Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small teams

Certifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (required)
• ServiceNow Certified application Developer (preferred)
• Additional ServiceNow certifications (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, CSM) are a plus

Clearance Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
