Description

The ServiceNow Solution Architect will lead the overall design and development of the ServiceNow platform. They will provide technical guidance and serve as an escalation point for the ServiceNow development team members. They will support customers and end-users to define their requirements based on the latest ServiceNow feature set. They will work with Agile/SAFe software development experts to develop and implement technology capabilities that meaningfully improve the customer’s business outcomes.

Please note, this role offers a flexible work arrangement, primarily remote with the understanding that occasional on-site presence may be required to support client needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, or related field/or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow development including process automation (orchestration), client scripts, UI actions, scheduled jobs, business rules, data imports, custom apps, and web services integration (SOAP, REST).
• 5+ years of experience with Web development, including X-HTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, jQuery or Angular, and one or more back-end technologies: JavaScript, PHP, .NET, or Java integrations in ServiceNow.
• Strong domain expertise in ServiceNow platform applications: Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Hardware and Software Asset Management, Integrated Risk Management (IRM), and Performance Analytics.
• Experience implementing Security Operations (SecOps) functionality in ServiceNow, integrating incident data from security tools into a structured response engine that uses intelligent workflows and automation.
• Experience in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including client requirement analysis and system design.
• Ability to synthesize multiple project strands into cohesive solutions.
• Experience with Agile/SAFe methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas and technical designs clearly.
• Experience presenting technical material to senior business managers in a non-technical manner to ensure understanding of risks and impacts.

Primary Responsibilities

• Translate complex stakeholder input into technical requirements and map them onto ServiceNow functionalities.
• Design and implement process workflows, automations, procedures, and technical standards.
• Design, review, and modify ServiceNow patterns in collaboration with the product team and stakeholders.
• Develop and validate innovative solutions, including algorithms for novel challenges.
• Guide the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of third-party interfaces and integrations.
• Provide technical expertise in deploying new ServiceNow features.
• Maintain a comprehensive view of the ServiceNow architecture at both high and detailed levels.
• Document ServiceNow architecture internally.
• Participate in Agile/SAFe development efforts, assisting with effort estimation and system complexity analysis.
• Contribute to ServiceNow software releases through configuration and feature delivery.
