Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst to manage software assets across their lifecycle using the ServiceNow SAM platform. The role focuses on license compliance, cost reduction, data quality, and minimizing audit risk while partnering with IT, Procurement, Finance, Security, and Legal.

The candidate will handle asset inventory, entitlements, and usage data; configure and enhance SAM tooling; and support audits and cost optimization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) or IT Asset Management (ITAM).
• Hands-on experience with SAM/ITSM tooling; ServiceNow SAM experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of major software licensing models (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe, SAP, SaaS).
• Experience with CMDB and ITSM processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage software asset inventory, entitlements, usage data and compliance using ServiceNow SAM Professional.
• Configure, maintain, and enhance the ServiceNow SAM platform and data models.
• Implement and validate SAM configuration changes and upgrades; build dashboards and automate workflows.
• Maintain data integrity across CMDB and asset repositories; reconcile data from various sources.
• Track usage vs entitlements; perform reconciliation and license risk reporting.
• Support vendor audits and prepare licensing documentation.
