Job summary

LightFeather is seeking a ServiceNow Platform Engineer to own a new ServiceNow environment for a federal program, from provisioning to readiness validation, within a secure enclave. You will lead platform upgrades and CMDB efforts while coordinating with security and program stakeholders to ensure compliance and smooth operations.

The role requires a hands-on expert who can take an environment from zero to production and evolve it as needs grow, with hybrid work in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience administering, configuring, and engineering on the ServiceNow platform.
• Demonstrated experience standing up new ServiceNow instances or leading instance-level builds and migrations.
• Strong scripting ability (server-side and client-side JavaScript, Glide APIs, Business Rules, Script Includes).
• Experience with REST/SOAP web services integrations and MID Server.
• Familiarity with federal security/compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA, STIGs).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Stand up, configure, secure, and maintain a new ServiceNow environment in a secure federal enclave.
• Install, configure, and maintain MID Servers and secure connectivity.
• Configure authentication, authorization, and access management (LDAP/AD, SSO/SAML, RBAC).
• Harden the platform following NIST/FISMA/STIGs and support ATO activities.
• Manage platform admin baselines, upgrades, and patching processes.
• Develop and maintain integrations with enterprise systems via REST/SOAP and IntegrationHub.
• Support ITSM and CMDB module implementations and optimizations.
• Maintain environment documentation and build procedures.
