Job summary

Chenega MIOS in Springfield, VA is seeking a ServiceNow On-Premises Infrastructure Engineer to own the architecture, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of a self-hosted ServiceNow environment.

You will manage servers, mid-servers, databases (MariaDB/MySQL), load balancers, and firewalls, execute upgrades, and ensure high availability in air-gapped environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 5+ years of IT Infrastructure experience, with at least 2+ years explicitly managing ServiceNow in a self-hosted/on-premise architecture.
• Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI/CI poly
• Successfully pass background and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and provision ServiceNow servers in on-premise or air-gapped environments.
• Install, configure, and provision ServiceNow mid-servers in on-premise or air-gapped environments.
• Manage and maintain the underlying operating systems hosting the ServiceNow stack.
• Administer relational databases including clustering, replication, backups, performance tuning, and disaster recovery processes.
• Plan and execute ServiceNow upgrades and patches on self-hosted servers, ensuring zero data loss and minimal downtime.
• Configure load balancers, reverse proxies, and firewalls; ensure system compliance with security frameworks.
• Monitor performance and scale resources to meet mission demands.
• Coordinate with team on AI initiatives for automated incident handling and intelligent service management.
