Job summary

Google Sunnyvale seeks an Application Engineer to lead web development and full lifecycle delivery across in-house and customer-facing apps. You will design, develop, and deploy custom-scoped apps, optimize agent interfaces, and build robust bi-directional integration pipelines using Pub/Sub and gRPC.

You will work with ServiceNow and internal microservices, bridging ecosystems while upholding high standards of code quality and secure, scalable engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS, MIS, or related field.
• 4 years of experience in web technologies (JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, CSS3).
• Experience managing first-party ServiceNow integrations and building microservices (Java, Python, Go, or Node.js).
• Experience with message-driven architectures (Pub/Sub, Kafka), RPC/gRPC, and API Gateways/Reverse Proxies.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, and ongoing support for in-house and customer-facing applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Googlers using UI specs/prototypes; act as owner and drive innovation to meet user needs.
• Design, develop, and deploy custom-scoped applications; optimize agent interfaces; build bidirectional integration pipelines using asynchronous and synchronous protocols.
• Manage end-to-end integration tasks to ensure ServiceNow functions as a secure extension of Google’s internal operations.
• Maintain and scale CS M, SPM, IRM dashboards and validate solutions via testing frameworks.
