Job summary

Google is seeking an Application Engineer for the ServiceNow integration within Google Cloud Business Platforms. You will design, develop, and deploy custom applications, while connecting ServiceNow with internal microservices and internal CRM platforms.

You will own end-to-end integration tasks, ensure secure, scalable pipelines, and uphold high code quality in a fast-paced environment. You will work with a cross-functional team of Googlers, contributing to workflow automation and agent-facing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience in web technologies (e.g., JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, CSS3).
• Experience managing first-party ServiceNow integrations, and building microservices (e.g., Java, Python, Go, or Node.js).
• Experience with message-driven architectures (e.g., Cloud Pub/Sub, Kafka), RPC/gRPC, and API Gateways/Reverse Proxies for traffic orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Build custom scoped applications via App Engine and configure agent-centric interfaces like ServiceNow Agent Workspace and Virtual Agent.
• Build robust bi-directional pipelines connecting ServiceNow to internal microservices (using Pub/Sub, Webhooks, gRPC, API Gateways), and manage the GCP projects, IAM roles, and quotas to host these endpoints.
• Maintain and scale functional suites including Customer Service Management (CSM/CRM), Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), and Integrated Risk Management (IRM).
• Plan and execute technical delivery with minimal assistance, translating ambiguous business requirements into high-level integration architectures.
• Manage Performance Analytics dashboards and validate custom/OOTB solutions via Automated Test Framework (ATF).
