Job summary

Google Inc. is seeking an Application Engineer to lead end-to-end web development and to build robust integrations between ServiceNow and Google Cloud internal systems.

You will design, implement, and maintain scalable web apps with a strong emphasis on security and code quality. You will work with modern tech such as Java, Python, Go, and Node.js, using Cloud Pub/Sub and gRPC for reliable integrations while collaborating with 1P systems and internal CRM platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience managing first-party ServiceNow integrations and building microservices in Java, Python, Go, or Node.js.
• Experience with message-driven architectures (Cloud Pub/Sub, Kafka), RPC/gRPC, and API Gateways/Reverse Proxies.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, and maintenance for web applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Googlers using UI and functional specs/prototypes to meet user needs.
• Design, develop, and deploy custom-scoped applications and robust bi-directional integration pipelines (asynchronous and synchronous).
• Ensure ServiceNow functions as a secure extension of Google’s internal operations with high-quality code.
