Job summary

The University of Maryland, College Park is seeking a ServiceNow Engineer to support the configuration, development, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform across ITSM, Service Catalog, Portals, Knowledge Management, CMDB, Hardware Asset Management, and Customer Service Management.

Responsibilities include customizing the platform, leveraging built‑in features, integrating with external apps via REST API and Integration HUB, collaborating with business stakeholders, translating requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Three years of professional experience implementing and managing enterprise solutions.
Additional work experience substituted for education on a year‑for‑year basis up to four years.

Responsibilities

Customize and configure ServiceNow using UI policies, business rules, data policies, and client scripts.
Leverage out‑of‑the‑box features and modify them to meet business needs.
Integrate ServiceNow with external applications using REST API, Integration HUB, CSV, and Excel.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and design user‑friendly solutions.
Translate business problems into technical designs leveraging ServiceNow capabilities.
Maintain documentation of designs, development activities, and configuration changes.
Stay updated with ServiceNow features, releases, and industry trends.
Demonstrate platform capabilities and prototype new solutions.
