Job summary

University of Maryland, College Park is seeking a ServiceNow Engineer within the Division of Information Technology (DIT) to support configuration, development, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform across ITSM, Service Catalog, Portals, Knowledge Management, CMDB, Hardware Asset Management, and Customer Service Management.

The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, translating requirements into technical designs, and staying current with ServiceNow features and releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three (3) years of professional experience implementing and managing enterprise solutions.
• Experience in large-scale ServiceNow implementations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Customize and configure ServiceNow using built‑in features such as UI policies, business rules, data policies, and client scripts.
• Integrate ServiceNow with external applications using REST API, Integration HUB, CSV, and Excel files.
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and design user-friendly solutions.
• Analyze business problems and translate them into technical designs leveraging the platform’s capabilities.
• Maintain documentation of technical designs, development activities, and configuration changes.
