Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph is required.
• 10 years of experience (or equivalent combination with education).
• DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 (Security+) and ServiceNow CSA certifications.
• Experience across ServiceNow SDLC, Agile/SDLC, and integrations.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, administer, develop, and integrate ServiceNow on RHEL and Windows.
• Work with Agile/Scrum and SDLC to plan, build, test, and deliver features.

ServiceNow Designer (Active TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly Required)

Springfield, United States |

The NMS IT Software Designer will provide expert knowledge of network management systems, operating systems, commercial software, government software, and full integration of toolsets and servers. This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week.

Deploy, administer, develop, and integrate the ServiceNow suite on RHEL and Windows; collaborate with database developers on database connectivity, schema, and performance requirements

Work with Agile/Scrum and SDLC processes to plan, build, test, and deliver ServiceNow features; participate in stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives

Collaborate with Project Managers and Technical Leads to communicate status, risks, and technical challenges; provide estimates and technical inputs

Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow, Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO), GOTS, and other enterprise tools using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and MID Server

Create and maintain technical documentation (design specs, runbooks, and user guides) and support user handoff training when required

Monitor application performance and availability; build dashboards/alerts and proactively remediate issues

Implement security hardening and compliance controls; support RMF authorization and accreditation (A&A) by producing artifacts, remediating findings, and applying DISA STIG/SCAP benchmarks and customer-specific requirements

Support the automation of ServiceNow deployments and related tasks by contributing to the development of scripts using Ansible, Python, Terraform, and PowerShell; assist in creating test, validation, and verification scripts

Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and service issues; perform and document Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions

Conduct system performance analysis and tuning to optimize configurations and throughput

Execute engineering tasks across the SDLC, adhering to change/release processes and delivering within scope and schedule

Package and deliver well-engineered solutions for Operations to deploy to production with minimal manual steps and a high success rate

Perform additional duties as assigned in a dynamic environment to support evolving business and technical requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

Clearance

• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required

Experience & Education

• Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education (Doctorate + 3 years, Master's + 4 years, Bachelor's + 6 years, Associate's + 8 years, or High School Diploma + 10 years)

Certifications

• DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 compliance (CompTIA Security+)
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• CompTIA Network+ or network background equivalent (desired)

ServiceNow & Technical Experience

• Experience working across concept, design, engineering, production, and sustainment phases of the ServiceNow SDLC
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or SDLC methodologies
• Cross-platform and integration experience: Windows, Linux, Juniper, and Cisco
• Foundational knowledge of RDBMS and SQL concepts with the ability to collaborate effectively with infrastructure DBAs on slow query patterns, table index requests, and platform schema designs

Core Competencies

• Ability to work independently and with geographically diverse team members
• Capability to process and analyze customer trouble calls/tickets and implement solutions independently
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and critical thinking skills

Salary Range

Salary Range: $95,000 - $109,000 (A good-faith estimate reflecting various experience levels, skills, geographic location, and contractual requirements)
