Position Summary
We are seeking a ServiceNow Automation Engineer to design, develop, and continuously improve automation solutions that support our Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE). This role will focus on building automated workflows, self-service experiences, system integrations, and AI-enabled capabilities that simplify how engineering teams interact with cloud services, governance processes, and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow workflows, applications, portals, catalog items, and integrations.
- Build automated workflows for engineering requests, intake, triage, approvals, routing, notifications, and status tracking.
- Develop self-service and employee-facing experiences that make it easier for engineering teams to access services and information.
- Support CCoE governance processes, including architecture reviews, cloud standards, approved patterns, and engineering requests.
- Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow, cloud platforms, identity systems, CI/CD tools, knowledge repositories, and enterprise APIs.
- Evaluate and implement AI-enabled ServiceNow capabilities, including AI Search, Now Assist, Virtual Agent, and intelligent workflow automation.
- Create reusable automation components and engineering assets to improve consistency and reduce manual effort.
- Monitor workflow performance and adoption and use metrics and feedback to continuously improve automation solutions.
- Partner with Cloud Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Platform Engineering, and other technical teams to translate business and engineering requirements into automated solutions.
- Troubleshoot, enhance, and support existing ServiceNow workflows and automation processes.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development/engineering experience.
- Strong experience with ServiceNow workflows, Flow Designer, Service Catalog, portals, and automation.
- Experience designing and implementing workflow automation and process orchestration.
- Experience developing REST/API integrations and connecting ServiceNow with enterprise systems.
- Experience building self-service or employee-facing ServiceNow solutions.
- Understanding of ITSM/ITOM processes and enterprise workflow automation.
- Experience working with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into automated solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ServiceNow Employee Center / Employee Workflows.
- Experience with ServiceNow AI Search, Now Assist, or Virtual Agent.
- Experience with AI-assisted workflow automation or generative AI.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of cloud governance and Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) environments.
- Experience with BPMN, Pega, Camunda, or similar workflow automation platforms.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with identity platforms, CI/CD tools, knowledge systems, reporting platforms, and cloud services.
- Experience with ServiceNow REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and custom applications.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of ServiceNow development and automation experience.
- Experience working in enterprise technology, cloud engineering, platform engineering, or governance environments is a plus.
