Job summary

Responsibilities include governing development standards, leading integrations with HRIS/CRM/ERP systems, and mentoring senior developers while shaping the roadmap with Product Owners and executives.

Qualifications

• Experience architecting ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, IRM/GRC).
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, ServiceNow APIs, and platform governance.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale integrations via REST/SOAP and Integration Hub.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end technical architecture for ServiceNow implementations and upgrades.
• Establish development standards, security, and data privacy controls.
• Lead integration design between ServiceNow and HRIS/CRM/ERP systems using REST/SOAP and Webhooks.

Job Title: ServiceNow Solution Architect

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Solution Architect to lead the strategic design, architecture, and implementation of our ServiceNow ecosystem [Asurion_WR | Word]. In this role, you will act as the primary technical authority, translating complex business requirements into scalable, robust, and secure platform solutions [Asurion_WR | Word]. You will bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution, ensuring alignment with ServiceNow best practices and out-of-the-box (OOTB) capabilities [Asurion_WR | Word].

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture & Design

• Solution Design: Define the end-to-end technical architecture for enterprise-wide ServiceNow implementations, upgrades, and replatforming initiatives [Asurion_WR | Word].
• Platform Governance: Establish and enforce development standards, coding guidelines, instance security, and data privacy protocols.
• OOTB Advocacy: Drive a "Configuration over Customisation" mindset, ensuring legacy workflows are modernised using core ServiceNow features (e.g., Flow Designer, Integration Hub) [Asurion_WR | Word].

Technical Leadership & Integration

• Integration Strategy: Design and oversee complex, secure integrations between ServiceNow and external enterprise systems (e.g., HRIS, CRM, ERP, Monitoring tools) using REST/SOAP, Webhooks, and Integration Hub [Asurion_WR | Word].
• Technical Governance: Lead code and architecture reviews, mentor senior developers, and resolve high-risk technical dependencies or blockers [Asurion_WR | Word].
• Roadmap Collaboration: Partner with Product Owners, executive stakeholders, and business units to align the ServiceNow roadmap with overarching business goals [Asurion_WR | Word].

Platform Roadmap & Innovation

• Upgrade Planning: Lead the evaluation, impact assessment, and deployment strategy for bi-annual ServiceNow family releases.
• Innovation Delivery: Evaluate and prototype emerging ServiceNow products (e.g., AI/GenAI capabilities, Strategic Portfolio Management, SecOps) to drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

• Platform Depth: Proven experience architecting solutions across multiple modules, including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and IRM/GRC.
• Advanced Development: Deep proficiency in JavaScript, ServiceNow APIs, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and Service Portal widget development [Asurion_WR | Word].
• Data & Automation: Expert-level knowledge of Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Common Service Data Model (CSDM), and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) architecture [Asurion_WR | Word].

Soft Skills & Leadership

• Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical business leaders [Asurion_WR | Word].
• Agile Delivery: Strong experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks, managing backlogs, and technical debt [Asurion_WR | Word].

Education & Certifications

• Experience: 8+ years of IT experience, with a minimum of 4+ years dedicated explicitly to ServiceNow Architecture.
• Core Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• Architect Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in at least two product lines, or a Certified Master Architect (CMA) / Certified Solution Architect (CSA) designation.
