Job summary

SD Solutions, LLC seeks an experienced ServiceNow Architect to lead the IRS IRWorks environment. You will provide enterprise architecture, governance, design, and integration leadership across ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB/CSDM, CSM, HRSD, and more, including Now Assist and AI capabilities.

The role requires CTA certification, federal experience, and ability to communicate with executives while guiding multiple teams through upgrades and modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of ServiceNow / Enterprise Service Management architecture experience.
  • At least 2 years supporting Federal Government environments.
  • Demonstrated enterprise ServiceNow solution architecture experience.
  • Strong experience across ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB/CSDM, and related modules.
  • Experience designing complex ServiceNow integrations and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Experience with governance, security, scalability, performance optimization, and architecture reviews.
  • Ability to communicate technical architecture to technical and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise ServiceNow architecture, technical design, and platform strategy.
  • Develop scalable solutions aligned with best practices and out-of-the-box functionality.
  • Provide architecture across ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB/CSDM, CSM, HRSD, SPM, SecOps/GRC, and more.
  • Establish architectural standards and review customizations vs. out-of-the-box features.
  • Design ServiceNow integrations with REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Servers, OAuth, SAML, LDAP.
  • Maintain solution, integration, data, and infrastructure architecture documentation.
  • Provide technical oversight for developers, admins, and third-party teams.
  • Support upgrades, platform optimization, and roadmap development.
  • Design secure, scalable environments meeting Federal security requirements.
  • Support CMDB architecture and CSDM standards.
  • Evaluate Now Assist, Generative AI, and Agentic AI capabilities.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, governance, Agile planning, and exec briefings.
  • Support platform performance, availability, security, and Filing Season readiness.

Job description

SD Solutions is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Architect to support the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) IRWorks enterprise ServiceNow environment. The Architect will provide technical leadership, enterprise architecture, platform governance, solution design, integration architecture, and modernization support across a complex, multi-module ServiceNow ecosystem. The ideal candidate has extensive experience designing and governing enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions in Federal environments and possesses a ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) credential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead enterprise ServiceNow architecture, technical design, and platform strategy.
  • Develop scalable solutions aligned with ServiceNow best practices and out-of-the-box functionality.
  • Provide architecture across ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB/CSDM, CSM, HRSD, SPM, SecOps/GRC, and other enterprise ServiceNow capabilities.
  • Establish architectural standards and review proposed customizations and deviations from out-of-the-box functionality.
  • Design ServiceNow integrations with internal and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Servers, OAuth, SAML, LDAP, and related technologies.
  • Develop and maintain solution, integration, data, and infrastructure architecture documentation.

Required Qualifications
