Job summary

Ascendance Truck Centers is seeking a motivated, full-time Service Writer for our fast-paced service department. You will direct service personnel, delegate assignments, and answer questions about current and future jobs.

The ideal candidate communicates well with customers and has at least two years of related experience. This role requires handling customer information, writing clear repair notes, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely, accurate service and invoicing.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience as a Service Writer.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive and manage incoming work and communicate with customers and internal departments.
• Greet customers and collect vehicle and customer information for repairs and invoicing.
• Document vehicle issues and maintenance needs clearly and accurately.
• Obtain customer signature on repair orders and provide copies.
• Explain work performed and charges to customers; keep warranty policies up to date.
