Job summary

Ascendance Truck Centers is seeking a motivated, full-time Service Writer to join our fast-paced service department. You will provide direction to service personnel, liaison with customers, and prepare accurate estimates for repairs and maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Additional training in heavy duty trucks preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Service Writer.

Responsibilities

• Receive and route all incoming work, communicate with customers and internal departments.
• Greet customers and collect vehicle and customer information for repairs.
• Write up vehicle issues clearly and obtain customer signature on repair orders.
• Explain completed work and charges to customers and keep customers updated on status.
• Coordinate with vendors and warranty guidelines during write up and repair process.
• Establish payment method, PO requirements, and estimate requirements when writing up.
