Ascendance Truck Centers is seeking a motivated, full-time Service Writer to join our fast-paced service department. You will direct service personnel, delegate assignments, and communicate clearly with customers about repairs and maintenance.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of relevant experience and strong communication skills, with the ability to read work orders and coordinate with internal teams. Training and growth opportunities are provided in a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, heavy-duty truck training preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Service Writer.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and team.
• Ability to read instructions, work orders and specifications.
• Proficient with computers and business applications.

Responsibilities

• Receive and manage all incoming work and coordinate with internal departments.
• Greet customers and collect vehicle and customer information for repairs.
• Write up vehicle issues and maintenance requirements clearly.
• Obtain customer signature and provide copies of repair orders.
• Understand warranty guidelines and approval processes during write up.
• Set up payment method and PO/estimate requirements.
• Monitor progress and update customers on status.
• Ensure vehicles and keys are properly stored.
• Explain completed work and charges to customers.
• Keep up to date on warranty policies and product changes.
