Job summary

Fairchild Equipment, Inc. in Milwaukee seeks a Service Writer to coordinate service calls, open work orders, and assist in providing timely, accurate invoicing and parts sourcing.

The role works closely with the service dispatcher, technicians, and sales reps to dispatch calls, monitor costs, and ensure exceptional customer service while upholding safety and company policies.

This position requires 2+ years of service-writing experience and a focus on clear communication and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED desired.
• 2+ years of experience in Industrial service writing and/or related experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage receipt and flow of all incoming service work with clear communication to customers and internal teams.
• Obtain purchase orders from customers and verify pricing against quotes.
• Assess repair needs and source parts internally and externally.
• Open and monitor work orders from start to finish, ensuring accuracy before invoicing.
