Amerit Fleet Solutions is hiring a Service Writer for the 2nd shift in Seattle, WA (Tukwila area). The role focuses on scheduling, customer communications, and KPI tracking for maintenance and repairs at on-site facilities.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–10:30pm, with weekly pay and full benefits starting within 30 days. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in automotive/technical roles, strong data management and customer service skills, and experience with fleet maintenance systems and BI

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive/technical experience required.
• Experience in fleet maintenance or industrial maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience in providing a high level of customer service.
• Understanding of service intervals and standard repair times.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Fleet Manager in day-to-day operations for on-site and satellite locations.
• Schedules routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance using a computerized maintenance management system.
• Partners with customer CMAs to ensure timely service updates and repairs.
• Monitors repairs from scheduling to completion, including time, parts, and invoicing considerations.
• Communicates with equipment owners, technicians, managers, and suppliers to reduce downtime.
• Maintains due dates for preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure compliance and timely scheduling.
• Builds weekly KPI summaries and reports on repairs, cycle times, and PM completions.
• Develops metrics to drive efficiency and process improvements across the business.

Service Writer (2nd Shift) – Seattle, WA (Tukwila, Area)

$35.00 - $40.00 hr | Weekly Pay | Full Benefits within 30 Days

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the U.S., is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Service Writer to join our growing team! The Service Writer will be responsible for the scheduling, customer communications, and KPI’s associated with day-to-day maintenance and repairs at our on-site customer facilities. Service Writer’s will work together with Amerit Fleet Managers (FM) and well as customer CMAs for the scheduling and tracking of all routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance repairs. Service Writers are the lynchpin for communications and status updates ensuring business partners are aware of unit status, work completed, and out of services levels. Finally, Service Writer’s will track KPI’s associated with the accounts to ensure cycle time, aging work, PM completion and downtime.

What You’ll Do

• Supports the Fleet Manager (FM) in day-to-day operations for all on-site and satellite locations in your area of responsibility.
• Service Writers will schedule all routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance throughout the facility, using a computerized maintenance management system
• Service Writers will partner with the customer CMAs, which oversee each facility and will ensure timely communication and partnership for service, repairs and daily FMS updates.
• Monitor repairs and repair orders from initial scheduling, task assignment, parts/service requirements, and task completion throughout the repair lifecycle, to include a quality review for time and materials, job coding, and customer communications when return to service.
• Effectively communicates with all area equipment owners, technicians, managers, and suppliers to maximize productivity and minimize downtime to operational customers.
• Maintain and monitor all due dates for all preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure 100% compliance and cycle times for scheduling.
• Ability to partner with key stakeholders for parts, services, and transportation of Assets.
• Build and report weekly summaries to show repairs KPIs, as well as completed and in-progress work, average cycle time, as well as PM completions.
• Develop ongoing key performance metrics to drive efficiency and process improvement throughout the business.
• Assist and monitor work order to invoice progress in FMS, partner with Amerit FP&A teams to verify revenue, hours, COGs and other data for the business.
• Highly motivated self-starter with great communication and planning skills.
• Interprets performance data and develops periodic reports summarizing department progress toward implementing and executing the maintenance program

What We’re Looking For

• Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
• Ability to review and analyze data for weekly KPIs
• Excellent organization, planning, and communication skills

Working Conditions

This role involves exposure to heavy traffic areas, dust, diesel fumes, noise, chemicals, oils, greases, and other irritants. The position requires the ability to access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance, and to move and position heavy objects, including parts and supplies. Frequent movement such as bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and crawling is required, as well as the ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
