WHO WE ARE:

Firematic is a family-owned business who has been serving those who protect us all for over 50 years!We are seeking a motivated Service Writer to join our team at our fast-paced, high-volume fire truck repair shop.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

In this role, you will be responsible for writing repair orders, scheduling service, and ensuring clear communication throughout the repair process. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Answer incoming calls and schedule Apparatus repairs
• Greet customers upon arrival for service appointments
• Maintain appointment and work scheduling as directed by the Service Manager
• Prepare repair orders showing parts and labor estimates in accordance with
  established procedures
• Daily data entry of parts, supplies, labor and outside vendor repairs on repair order
• Route completed repair orders for invoicing
• Ensure customer service standards are being met
• Route completed repair orders for invoicing daily, upon completion

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

• Positive can-do attitude!
• Previous experience as a service writer or advisor (truck or automotive industry preferred).
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems and repair terminology.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient in repair order software and basic computer programs.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure.
