Job Description

To perform a variety of tasks in street, drainage, and right-of-way maintenance.

Essential Duties

Includes setting forms, pouring concrete, clearing debris, inspecting infrastructure, spreading asphalt, operating repair equipment, setting traffic control devices, and performing minor repairs and material loading.

Minimum Qualifications

• Six months of experience preferred.
• High school graduation or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Skill in operating tools and equipment.
• Ability to complete projects and establish working relationships.
• Knowledge of concrete setting and finishing.

Special Requirements

• Valid Texas Class C driver’s license by hire date.
• Acquire NIMS certifications within 30 days of hire.

Tools and Equipment Used

Various street repair tools and safety equipment.

Physical Demands

Requires walking, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally, with good vision and physical ability to perform outdoor work.

Work Environment

Outside, near moving machinery, in various weather conditions, with exposure to chemicals, noise, and potential hazards.
