Description

Math/Reading/Science/History/Writing/Music/Foreign Languages, Language Arts Teacher/Tutor
Virtual Opportunity

Under the supervision of the Founder/Executive Director and/or office manager or other staff member, you will provide tutoring to student(s). All tutoring must be conducted online under supervision of New Heights Educational Group staff or at the NHEG office or another location designated and agreed upon by all parties. Tutors assist students in improving academic achievement by meeting with them at least three hours a week in one-hour intervals. We are not like traditional tutoring services; we do not tutor to get a student through an assignment but to identify gaps and help the student fill them with knowledge and hard work. Other assistance might include reviewing class material, discussing texts, formulating ideas for papers, or working on solutions to problems. All tutors must be willing to help build pre-recorded courses during down times.

Tutoring areas: Math, Science, Writing, History, Foreign Languages, Reading/Language Arts, among others.

Qualifications: Experience tutoring is preferred but not required. Responsible, dependable, honest, mature, friendly, patient, and sensitive to a diversity of students.

To be considered, please send a resume and three (3) references with email addresses to NewHeightsEducation@yahoo.com. Please use the Subject Line: NHEG Teacher/Tutor (your name). Include your email & phone number.

IMPORTANT!: All new tutors (substitutes and/or assistants) must complete a background check at their own expense and participate in tutor training. After signing up, tutors should review the job description document in depth.

We reply to all emails. If you don't receive a reply, please check your spam folder or call 419-786-0247. Please leave a message if we don't answer.
