Job Summary
We are seeking a Service/Test Technician for a testing systems/equipment manufacturing company in Acton, MA. This role is responsible for setting up, conducting, and troubleshooting tests on testing equipment, with a focus on refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical systems, ensuring equipment quality and performance. This is a DIRECT HIRE position.
Responsibilities:
Starting up, troubleshooting, and performing tests on our standard product line, including the calibration and operation of refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with systems, making necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure proper functionality.
Perform basic final assembly work.
Ensure products meet quality and performance standards.
Implement and improve procedures.
Gather and document pertinent data on the performance of products and prototypes.
Maintain standards for product testing and inspection as part of the overall quality standard.
Participate in a team environment to develop and design new and existing products.
Implement and participate in Lean and 5S processes and projects.
Work closely with the engineering and quality teams to improve overall product quality.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience with HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
Competent with computers including Google suites preferred.
Previous experience in a test or service technician role, preferably in a manufacturing or commercial environment preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Knowledge of Lean methodologies preferred.
Knowledge of test standards (ASTM, IEC, ISO, MIL-STD) preferred.
The schedule is Mon-Fri 7AM-3:30PM. This is a DIRECT HIRE position. The pay is dependent on experience.
