Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking an Service Technician in the United States to service a broad geographic area including Los Angeles, San Diego and other major cities. The role involves installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining rotary screw, reciprocating, Centac and ECC air compressors and related components.

You will read wiring diagrams, perform preventative maintenance, and provide technical guidance to customers while collaborating with the service team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years troubleshooting industrial mechanical systems.
• Valid driver’s license with no major violations in the last 5 years.
• On-call coverage availability after initial 90 days.
• Physical ability for manual labor (lifting, walking, stooping).
• Own a mechanic’s tool set; specialty tools provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on compressed air equipment.
• Interact with customers to address equipment concerns.

Job Title: Service Technician

Job Overview

The Field Service Technician for Ingersoll Rand's Compression Systems and Services Division serves customers by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all makes of rotary screw and reciprocating and/or Centac and ECC air compressors, along with additional compressed air system components. You will use precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting of compressed air equipment and must possess knowledge of all operations and parts manuals associated with all equipment.

• Maintain efficient business travel practices.

Preferences

• Industrial air compressor maintenance knowledge.
• EPA certification.
• Veterans/Active‑Duty Military encouraged.

Travel & Work Arrangements

• Daily travel within a 3‑hour radius of assigned service area.
• A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided.

Pay Range

Starting pay ranges from $25.00 to $40.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. This is a full‑time, hourly position.
