Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a tire technician to service a wide range of tires from passenger to industrial equipment in the Las Vegas area. The role includes mounting, balancing, rotating, and repairing tires, plus diagnosing and repairing semi-truck components when needed.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 250 lbs, pass a pre-employment drug screen, and hold a valid drivers license. Occasional service-truck travel may be required, with opportunities for 401K matching as a benefit.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Experience with heavy duty/commercial tires preferred, but not required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to lift and/or move tires weighing between 30-250 lbs. with or without mechanical assistance.
• Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Mounting, balancing, rotating, and repairing tires for passenger, light trucks, large trucks and industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair semi-truck tires and trailers, including HVAC, brakes, steering & suspension, PM inspections, drive train, and electrical.
• Ensure safe operation of company vehicles and compliance with speed and traffic regulations.
• Participate in training and follow safety procedures and company policies.
• May drive a service truck to an on-site location where a customer is broken down.
• Load and unload stock and assist with physical inventory.
• Work with Tire TPMS (Tire Pressure Management System).
• Additional duties as assigned.

Job description

• Troubleshoot, Diagnose, and Repair Semi-Truck and Trailers to include but not limited to: Commercial Tires, HVAC, Brakes, Steering & Suspension, PM Inspections, Drive Train, and Electrical
• Responsible for safe operation of company vehicles including compliance with speed and traffic regulations
• Participates in training, follows safety procedures, job duties and company policies
• Preferred Ability to drive a service truck (F-350) to an onsite location where customer is broken down
• Load and unload stock and assist with physical inventory.
• Work with tire TPMS (Tire Pressure Management System)
• Participates in training, follows safety procedures, job duties and company policies.
• Any other duties as assigned.
