Job summary

CGL Electronic Security, Inc. is seeking a full-time Service Technician to service, troubleshoot, and repair electronic security and video surveillance systems for our customers in the Westwood, MA area and surrounding regions.

You will join a tight-knit team with senior techs sharing knowledge, a take-home service vehicle, and on-call responsibilities. The role requires travel to local jobsites and independent work in the field.

Qualifications

• 3+ years servicing, installing, or programming access control systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Experience with Software House (required).
• Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis.
• Comfortable working at heights and handling hand/power tools.
• Able to work under pressure and independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix problems with security, access control, and video systems.

Service Technician

Office Location: Westwood, MA

Typical Service Areas: Boston, Western MA, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire

Position Summary

CGL is looking to hire a full-time Service Technician to service, troubleshoot, and repair electronic security and video surveillance systems for our customers. Youll join a tight-knit team where senior techs share what they know and new ideas are always welcome.

Youll be provided a take-home service vehicle, work independently in the field, and rotate on-call for after-hours emergencies.

What Youll Do

• Provide excellent service to every customer, every time
• Respond to service calls, scheduled maintenance, and emergency/after-hours calls (on-call rotates approximately every 8 weeks)
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix problems with security, access control, and video systems 44d 4e6 4a14f04e5 ")
• Program and configure system software
• Fill out clear, accurate service reports after every job
• Use hand and power tools (drill, wire stripper, crimper, etc.) and work at heights on a ladder or lift when needed
• Represent CGL as the customer7s go-to service provider 4aa

What You Need

• 3+ years servicing, installing, or programming access control systems
• Valid drivers license with a clean record
• Previous experience with Software House (required)
• Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis. Rare overnight travel may be required.
• Comfortable working at heights and handling hand/power tools as needed
• Able to work under pressure and independently with minimal supervision
• Solid communication skills - youll be dealing directly with customers
• Advanced technical skills related to electronic security and video surveillance systems.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
