Job summary

Mark-Taylor is hiring a Service Technician at Redstone at SanTan Village in Gilbert, AZ. The role focuses on maintenance repairs, make-ready unit turnover, and daily community upkeep to deliver five-star service that makes Mark-Taylor communities feel like home.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, and OSHA standards, plus experience with apartment turn/Make-Ready work orders. Full-time, on-site position with on-call incentives.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, appliances, and OSHA standards.
• Knowledge of building systems in apartment communities.
• Service-oriented approach with basic English communication.
• Experience as apartment turn/Make-Ready/Work Order technician is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair minor HVAC, appliance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and drywall issues.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care and ensure chemical balance and safety.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
• Inspect property for safety hazards and report to Facilities/Service Manager.
• Share on-call duties with the Manager of Facilities and Service and be available in uniform.

Compensation:

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $22.00/hr.
• All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call.
• Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications***

Requirements

• General knowledge in the following areas: Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA-related standards
• Knowledge of building systems
• Service orientation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience as apartment turn technician, make ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

In This Role You Will:

• Assist in the completion of make ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintains adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Trouble-shoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, assures pool is in proper chemical balance and area is free of safety concerns.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and corrects the hazard to inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service, and service team members and is readily available to go the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
