Job summary

Dead River Company is seeking a skilled oil/propane service technician to install, maintain and repair residential and commercial heating equipment. The role requires the ability to work with minimal supervision, a strong safety mindset, and teamwork to ensure reliable service for customers in Northampton, MA.

Competitive compensation ($27.00 to $42.00 per hour) with weekly pay and extensive benefits including health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid

Qualifications

• Journeyman with at least 1 year of oil/propane service experience.
• Master with 2+ years of oil/ propane service experience.
• Licensing as Apprentice/Journeyman/Master where required.
• Pre-employment physical required.
• Valid driver's license; driving record reviewed annually.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial heating equipment (oil/propane).
• Work without close supervision while maintaining safety standards.
• Collaborate with team to complete service tasks at customers’ locations.

The Ideal candidate will have:

• Experience with installation, maintenance, and repairs of residential and commercial oil and/or Propane heating equipment
• The ability to work without close supervision
• A focus on safety!
• The ability to work as part of a team

Experience:

Journeyman – Will have at least one year of relevant oil and/or propane service experience.
Master – Will have two or more years of relevant oil and/or propane service experience

Certification, Licensing, and Testing:

• Apprentice, Journeyman or Master designation licensing is necessary in states where required.
• Applicable propane CETP certification is required for propane technicians.
• All technicians must be able to pass a pre-employment physical.
• All technicians must have a valid motor vehicle drivers’ license. Driving record is reviewed at employment, and annually thereafter, and must meet company standards.
