Qualifications

• 2 years experience performing service repairs on large agricultural or relatable heavy equipment.
• Work history of consistently meeting performance metrics.
• Ability to follow Technical Manual procedures.
• Experience with the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in agricultural, off road, construction or other heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere and other brands of ag equipment and technology, sometimes in the field.
• Perform setup and pre-delivery preparation of new equipment.
• Maintain current knowledge of John Deere products and competitive products.
• Maintain a clean work area and complete reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.

Purpose

Independently perform diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment. Candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic while completing tasks efficiently and with minimal supervision.

Customer service and communication skills are required. The Ag Equipment Service Technician may be asked to clearly explain to a customer, in a courteous and effective manner, aspects of work being performed.
