Time Manufacturing Company in Detroit, MI offers a Service Technician Intern program designed for students in diesel technology, heavy equipment, automotive technology, or industrial maintenance. Interns gain hands-on experience while working alongside seasoned Service Technicians in a real-world shop environment.

You will learn hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting, assist with preventive maintenance, and support parts inventory.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in accredited technical college pursuing a degree or certificate in Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Automotive Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics or related field.
Minimum GPA of 2.5 (optional)
Ability to work full‑time during the summer and part‑time during school breaks (if applicable)
Valid driver's license
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

Assist Service Technicians with preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
Learn basic hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting.
Perform shop organization, cleaning, and tool maintenance.
Assist with equipment setup, washing, and detailing.
Support parts inventory, staging, and material movement.
Complete assigned safety and technical training.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate service documentation and work orders.
Participate in mentoring and development activities.
