Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician Intern to learn equipment types and applications, assist with maintenance tasks, and support branch operations. You will also provide labor to seasoned mechanics while delivering excellent customer service and preparing for potential full-time opportunities after certification.

The role is ideal for someone in or entering a technical program, with a path toward service technician roles in the department upon degree/certification completion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and pursuing technical degree or certification.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with foundational knowledge of tools and equipment.
• Self-motivated with a strong drive and sense of urgency.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn the various types of equipment that United Rentals rents and their applications.
• Perform manual and maintenance tasks to support branch operations.
• Provide labor assistance to seasoned mechanics.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to our customers.
